Curvy girls, rejoice! Starting this fall, our girl Eva Mendes will be featured in a worldwide print and outdoor ad campaign for Calvin Klein Underwear, the company announced this week. Mendes will help Calvin Klein launch a new brand of intimate apparel called “Seductive Comfort,” which will focus on fit and support while, of course, keeping true to the brand’s naturally sexy style. Mendes also recently signed on to be the face of Calvin Klein's Fall 2008 fragrance campaign, so the company has been showing her much love despite her brief (and totally mysterious) stint in rehab.
Calvin Klein's President tells Women’s Wear Daily that Mendes was a natural fit for the role, as CK aims to reach a broader market of real women with curves: “We are trying to get across that these new products are for fuller busted, shapelier kinds of women and when we looked at the talent, Eva was right." So instead of gawking at skeletal, half-naked models on billboards this September, we’ll look up at the sky and happily see a larger than life-size Eva wearing skivvies that might just fit our Latina bodies. Good deal all around!
