Tracy Reese is always the belle of the designer's ball, consistently delivering what a girl wants to wear to work and play. For her spring 2008 collection, she concentrated on the latter, opting to showcase designs centered on the sophisticated traveler and what she would take on her trip abroad—specifically to the countries of Tangiers and Tunisia. She streamlined her keepsakes—handmade prints, sequins, rich jewel-tones—and added black and white graphic prints to mix things up. Accessorized with grand hats, her collection featured flowing gowns and dresses for evening; swimwear for lounging; sailor pantsuits for watching sport. Clearly an homage to the days when a woman look chic to go on the plane, and would never dare take off her zapatos.
