Reef, the brand behind those cool surfer-inspired shoes and sandals, has partnered with Guatemalan artisans and workers in an inititative that brings together fashion and finance. The We Heart Collection is an ongoing collaboration between Reef's design team and workers from developing countries around the world. They incorporate their handmade crafts and items into a special selection of Reef product. The purpose? To provide a platform for the workers to grow their business, build strong communities and share their crafts with the world.

Mara Hoffman’s Swimwear 2013 Fashion Show was anything but ordinary (especially with wolves howling in the background!). The inspiration? “Desert Outlaw Gypsies” where Hoffman “toughens it up a bit” with bold prints, bold colors, and bold cuts galore. We caught up with the designer at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami where we got the inside scoop on her designs, her love life and raising her son in a Latin-American household.

- Count on Oscar de la Renta to create intricate designs that embody nature and ultimate femininity. The iconic designer recently displayed his new 2013 Spring Collection in a Bryant Park showroom, which was nothing less than spectacular. Models were seen in bold designs with electric color schemes and demure plaid prints. Some of them were even spotted rocking bright neon streaks in their hair. Francisco Costa, Women’s Creative Director to the popular high-end fashion brand Calvin Klein collection, is the newest designer to jump on the “affordable” bandwagon. Known for his minimalistic and chic aesthetic, Costa will be teaming up with Macy’s to create a limited edition dress line. This will be Francisco’s first time creating a collection at this price point, with dresses ranging from $135-$180.

Brazilian model and soon-to-be Mrs. McConaughey, Camila Alves, has teamed up with her mami, Fatima, to design and create a handbag collection, MUXO, for QVC that’s inspired by Alves’ experiences in both New York and Brazil. MUXO, meaning the “Goddess of the Water,” has the colors and materials from Alves’ native Brazil, but also offers the practicality of a bag that allows you to hustle and bustle in NY making for a bohemian yet stylish everyday bag.
