Emanuel Ungaro and head designer Esteban Cortazar are officially parting ways, WWD reports. The French fashion house announced a separation by mutual agreement late last week.
It was reported in early June that Cortazar was unhappy with his bosses for considering a creative partnership with troubled actress Lindsay Lohan. A source told the NY Post, "Ungaro thinks Lindsay is going to bring the company new energy and new buzz, but she is going to be the nail in the coffin. Nobody will take them seriously ever again."
The Bogotá, Colombia-born Cortazar joined Ungaro in 2007, when he was only 23 years old. A successor has not been named at this time.
