INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 jalapeño pepper, chopped
  • 2 lb. Swiss chard
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
PREPARATION:

In saucepan heat butter and sauté onion, celery, and jalapeño. Wash and drain Swiss chard and cut white and green parts into strips. Add to saucepan, stir to mix, and season with salt and pepper. Cover and simmer over low heat until chard is tender, about 10 minutes. Stir in half-and-half. Add Swiss cheese and cook until cheese is bubbly.
