Designer Nate Berkus Talks Peru & Target Spring Collection

Nate Berkus' newest collection for Target has arrived, and we couldn't be more obsessed! The interior designer's spring line was inspired by a recent trip to Peru and the country's decorative arts. Target shoppers now have the chance to choose from pillows, lamps and accessories (including a llama nicknamed Fred!) to transform their home this season. 

We chatted with Nate Berkus about the Latin American inspiration for his spring collection, the best meal he had in Peru, and his advice for summer decorating in this exclusive interview: 

What did you love most about Peru? 

All the artisans we discovered. Every day, we found some hidden shop or artist making the most amazing things. There was no shortage of inspiration -- or things to love. From textiles, to bowls, to pottery, woven rugs, jewelry.... really, it was an embarrassment of riches.

Where did you visit? 

We spent time in Cusco, Lima, and Machu Pichu. The entire country is truly spectacular.
