Jordi Velasuso and Jason Canela helped CBS celebrate their big Daytime Emmy Award wins at their Cinco de Mayo celebration in Pasadena.
The Miami natives were dressed to the nines for the soiree that was organized by Angelica McDaniel, Executive Vice President of CBS Daytime Programs and Syndicated Programs Development.
McDaniel, who is Mexican-American, was so excited that the annual award show landed on May 5th this year so she could share her rich culture with friends and collegues on such an important night.
"When I realized that the Daytime Emmy's fell on May 5 this year, I jumped at the chance to really make this a special celebration," McDaniel told Latina.com.
"I wanted the event to be vibrant and enjoyed by all. This was a chance to expose more people to my Mexican culture and heritage and I couldn't have been more excited.
Even if the holiday isn't really a thing in Mexico, but Los Angeles really gets into this celebratory mood and I wanted all our guests to experience that."
Both Velasuso and Canela, along with many other big named celebrities including Wayne Brady, Sharon Osbourne, Eve, Sara Gilbert, and Carrie Ann Inaba enjoyed authentic cocktails and south of the border fare prepared by Chef Donnie Masterton.
At the soiree, we caught up with rapper Eve, who is currently a panelist on the CBS daytime series The Talk. She raved about the margaritas and promised she'd be dropping some new music this year.
Her co-panelist Carrie Ann, who got her start as a dancer on In Living Colour, confirmed that she'd be interested in joining the rumored reunion special although no one had been in touch yet.
CBS had some Emmy's that whirled around the pumping dance floor until the early hours, including:
The Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for The Young and the Restless
Outstanding Lead Actress for Jacqueline MacIness from The Bold and the Beautiful
Outstanding Drama Series Writing Team and Directing Team also for The Young and the Restless.
