My 3 Favorite Looks at The Golden Globes

Am I alone here? Last night during The Golden Globes, it seemed to me like everyone was in "test mode" of their Awards Seasons looks. Some celebs dazzeled, but I'd be lying if I said it was a night of unforgettable glamour.

Sure, Sofia Vergara looked great - but let's face it, she could make the trash bag Bradley Cooper wore in Silver Linings Playbook look good on the red carpet. Which brings me to my 1st favorite look at the Golden Globes: Sofia's 2nd dress that she wore to FOX/FX's after party!

Most people who don't follow Sofia on Instagram didn't see it, but I kind of wish she had worn this on the RC over that black Zac Posen ball gown. I definitely enjoyed her choice of the turquoise statement necklace for the look (Diamonds would have made the overall look boring), but the Zuhair Murad "party" dress said "Hello, I am here" in a way that the red carpet moment did not.

And while I wasn't moved by many of the other dresses from the night (maybe besides Jennifer Lawrence's Dior gown), I did think Stephanie Beatriz's overall look was very glamorous. Her loose, sideswept curls helped to feature those gorgeous Simon G. earrings and form-flattering mermaid cut dress. She was definitely my 2nd favorite look of the night.

Last, but not least, Camila Alves' nail & ring combo: I didn't really notice it on the red carpet, but during hubby Matthew McConaughey's acceptance speech for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, I couldn't take my eyes off Camila's nails and rings each time the camera panned to her. They were almost beautiful enough to distract me from Matt's bizarro speech. This is a great way to mix gold and silver elements into an eveningwear look when you can't decide between the two. Check out Red Carpet Manicure's tip for acheiving Camila's nails below:

To add a finishing touch to her black-sequin gown, celeb manicurist Jolene Brodeur polished Camila Alves' nails with Red Carpet Manicure’s "The Night Is Young" and added "Dripping In Luxury" to every other nail, giving it a tonal look of color.
