Makeup artist, Antonio Bermudez used to share everyone's struggles with redness and painful acne. He tells Allure he became interested in makeup to cover up his acne but he noticed that makeup wouldn't apply smoothly because of his skin condition. Bermudez said his acne was so severe, he would often wake up with blood oozing from his face. When he began to focus more on skincare, he focused on creating a completely affordable drug-store routine that would target specific issues. When asked about his nearly flawless skin and glow, he doesn't just say that the usual - drink a lot of water.

Although water definitely helps, he credits a drugstore buy as the star of his skin-care routine. The No7 Early Defence Glow Activating Facial Serum. Bermudez swears it helps the radiance of his skin and gives him a natural glow. It's infused with brightening ingredients, like vitamin C and ginseng, which help fade dark spots and slough away dullness. Knowing this, the serum could definitely be the reason for his Instagram-famous glow.

In an Instagram post from 2017, the makeup-guru, who's Mexican, Spanish, and Black, said that he used the Cetaphil bar soap cleanser 1 to 2 times a day, a Freeman Mask 1 to 3 times a week and Aveeno moisturizer every day.

Hey loves, since I won't be able to post makeup for a few days I wanted to post something else. I am more than just my makeup and before makeup comes skin care. This is from a few months ago. My acne got pretty bad and drained me emotionally, stripping away my confidence. At this point I felt like I NEEDED makeup or I couldn't go out in public. It took me a while to realize that this was a phase and only temporary. If you are going through an acne struggle small or big, it'll be okay I promise. I don't want you to feel alone, abnormal, or ugly because of it. It's literally NORMAL AF, just drill that through your head. Find a skin care routine that works for you, keep track of your skin and whether it's oily, dry, or combo (mean its oily in certain places and dry in others). Feel free to dm me if you want help examining (I'm not a professional, but I can help to the best of my abilities) what your skin type is. Just stay up and be the bad bitch you are ily all My skin care: Cetaphil cleanser 1-2 times a day Freeman Masks from dollar general 1-3 times a week Aveeno moisturizer everyday
