I love being Latina. Why. Why? Well, you cannot really sum it up in words Or else, I'd be bragging. I know why I Love being Latina. You know why You Love being Latina. You know why I Love being Latina. And so do others who aren't Latina (wink, wink.)
Latina is synonymous with hard working, multi-tasking, nurturing, passionate, professional, tough and beautiful. To be Latina is to have an individuality that surpasses other cultures. We greet each other with a hug and kiss or just verbally. You never pass a person without a greeting. Culture is rich and welcoming, dating tips are amazing, language is romantic, even the phrase "I Love you" sounds so much better in Spanish.
I love being a LATINA because my culture is beautiful. I am a dark skin latina and when I speak our beautiful language people heads turn. I love that we just don't have one special look. We come in different colors of skin, hair and eyes. We have respect for one another and we were taught to help others. Latina's are not only different by culture but individually we look different. I love being a LATINA and who I am.

okay this might seem weird but I am not a latina so I really can't write about how I love being a latina. however, some of my best friends are latinas and I can speak about how much I love them and their culture. For one latinas have good food and good music, are hardworkers, and non judgmental. Moerover most seem to be just so warm, friendly, and generous. Latinas should be proud of their culture
Growing up, I can remember waking up at 5-6 in the morning so my mom can do my sisters hair and mine. she would leave to go to work at 5 am and wouldn't be home till 8pm. I remember, she would get us ready to go to school, and off she went to work.that was are routine every morning. We hardly saw our mom. When we will get home, I had to make sure my sister and brother did there homework. I would do mine at school, so when we get home I can cook for them. I would make sure dinner was done, so by the time our mom got home she will have time to eat dinner and have time to be with us. I was only in the 4th grade. By the 5th grade I learn how to do laundry, do the shopping at home and organize my mom's bill so they can be paid on time. she had 2 jobs and work for about 16 hours a day. we hardly so her. I learn at a young age the sacriffieses that my mom had to do for us. she would always tell us "being in this counrty is hard, but when you guys get older, you will understand why i have to work this hard." we sure did hate hearing that. hahaha.. i sure do laugh at that now... :) i grew up to fast, yes i did. But, My mother is a women of many mircles, she is a single mother with 3 kids. she give us all, regardless of anything. She is an example of Latina mom's. how work hard and come to this country for a better life and is very, very proud of who she is and where she comes from. as i am as well. This is just a liitle of my story. there are many latina girls out there, wtih similar stories like me that know how hard it can be to be a latin but how proud it is to be a LATINA too.! I am not angry at my mom for not being around, but I am proud of her. I am proud to see all these famous people that I see in the TV( Penelope Cruz, Mitchelle Rodriguez, Sakira, Jessica Alba, Jeniffer Lopez) just to name a few, Who are a good role modle to us Latina's and have engourege me to be some one in life... of course not to be famuse lol! but to stand tall for our people. and know who we are. to stick by one another because that's all we have anyway... I AM PROUDE TO BE MEXICAN AND I CAN SCREAM IT FROM THE TOP OF MY LUNGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! P.S I LOVE LATINA MAGAZINE
