Mmm, the sweet smell of socialism!

A Cuban firm has unveiled two, ahem, unique fragrances based upon the scents of Hugo Chávez and Ernesto "Che" Guevara

In conjunction with French perfumers, Libiofam formulated two scents based upon the Latin American socialist leaders. Guevara's smells of fragrant citrus with woodsy notes, while Chávez's offers a frutier scent with hints of mango and papaya, The Guardian reports.

Keep in mind that Guevara bore the nickname "El Chancho" (the pig) because he so disliked bathing. Aromatic!

According to Mario Valdes, who led the scent design team, the Guevara and Chávez family have both lent their approval for the usage of their names. Valdes said that the company does not intend to trivialize the men's legacies. "We didn't want to create propaganda, but rather pay homage to them and help their names endure."
