Demi Lovato Among Stars to Join Students at March For Our Lives in DC


In the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida school shooting, which took the lives of 17 people, the students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas have been fighting tirelessly for sensible gun laws. Their grief turned into action as they organized a march to end gun violence and mass shootings.

The #MarchForOurLives protest in Washington D.C. will take place on March 24th and has more than 700 events worldwide for that day. Recently, a Stoneman Douglas student, Jaclyn Corin was asked if there would be any influential people joining the march in DC and she responded that Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Miley Cyrus, and Jennifer Hudson would be in attendance.

Demi has tweeted out before that she wanted to get in touch with Parkland student survivor, Emma Gonzalez, who has been a huge voice in the gun reform movement since her powerful speech following the shooting. 

Lovato also invited the students on stage during her tour concert and asked the crowd of over 7,000 fans to assist in providing mental health support to the Parkland community. 

After a school shooting - and there have been many in the United States - Stoneman Douglass student surprised many with their vigor to talk about gun control right away. They constantly spoke to reporters about the need for change and even debated Marco Rubio and NRA spokesperson, Dana Loesch on live television.

This march is a clear and direct message for policymakers in the United States to help protect students with sensible gun laws.
