Mexico Disappearances are Officially an International Crisis

"Missing Person in Mexico!" This is a headline we often see in the papers, as kidnappings throughout Mexico remain a serious issue.

On May 14, U.S. Marine and Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran Armando Torres III was abducted in Mexico along with his father and uncle. This kidnapping is one of the latest in what Amnesty International is terming a human rights crisis.

The FBI shared a statement on its website saying Armando had gone to visit his father's ranch in La Barranca, Tamaulipas when he, his father Armando Torres II and uncle Salvador Torres were abducted. NBC News has reported that shortly after Armando arrived at the ranch, armed gunmen entered the ranch and took all three Torres family members by force. They have not been seen or heard from since this event.
