Linda Perry

Songwriter Linda Perry has taken issue with Hollywood's definition of "fame" — especially among musicians. She believes it needs to be more about the music — not about the hit singles and the celebrity status. "Is it wrong to want to ask more of my artists? Shouldn't we be doing that? Haven't we lowered the bar a little bit? Now, we're at this place that's breaking my heart. I'm hearing these [current hit] songs, and they're OK, they're good songs. But if you put them up against a great, fantastic song, you easily hear the difference? Is it wrong to ask for more?"

Miranda Noland,

Miranda Noland is the Senior Photo Editor for Latina.com. She handles all the photo needs for the site and occasionally writes a thing or two. Growing up in a small town in Missouri, she collected (and hoarded) magazines and dreamed of working at one someday. She studied art and design at Drury University and moved to New York City after graduating. She loves being an aunt to her two nephews and has recently moved to be closer to them. She's a pop culture junkie who watches way too much television, and she still hoards magazines.
