Former MTV VJ La La Vazquez and basketball star Carmelo Anthony are getting married this summer after a 5-year engagement. Vazquez, 30, announced the news yesterday on The Wendy Williams Show and said that although she and Anthony, 25, still have a bunch of details to work out, she's already hired wedding planner to the stars Mindy Weiss to plan the important day. "She did Heidi Klum and Seal's wedding and I liked her work so I hired her to come on board for my wedding," Vazquez told Williams.

When Hispanic Business Magazine named Carmelo Anthony as one of the 100 most influential Hispanics, he wasn't the only one who was shocked. So were a ton of his fans who never even knew the superstar forward was half Puerto Rican! Anthony was honored and flattered to be on the list, especially since most people don’t recognize his Latino heritage. Although the two time NBA All Star was born and raised in the United States, he bears a tattoo of the Puerto Rican flag as a reminder of his fathers heritage.
