Cheech Marin has just been confirmed to play the patriarch of a close-knit Mexican American family for a new sitcom. Deadline is reporting that the Mexican American funny man has signed on as father-in-law to Rob Schneider’s character in the new CBS comedy. The project, which is still untitled, is co-written by Schneider and based on the actor’s real life.

Charlie Sheen and his papi Martin have teamed up for a spoof promo for his upcoming roast special on Comedy Central. The one-minute video makes fun of Apocalypse Now, the iconic 1979 Vietnam film that the elder Sheen starred in. The hilarious spoof features the 46-year-old actor reenacting the first scene of the film, but then pans out to reveal Charlie in a Jacuzzi beside two bikini-clad blondes before his father interrupts the mood and calls him inside saying, "Some things never change."
