The Big Boss has certainly been making himself known on the charts recently! Daddy Yankee now has the #1 spot on Hot Latin Songs and for the 10th week in a row he's held onto the #1 spot on Latin Urban Chart, as well as the #1 spot on the pop charts, with the smash single “Lovumba.” The hit comes off of his studio album Prestige, which has yet to be released.

Grab your sunglasses – you’re going to need them to watch Daddy Yankee’s new music video, “Lovumba.”
The Boricua superstar looks suave (as always) in the music video, which premiered on VEVO today. We’re introduced to an interesting blend of elements – ice, water, and fire. And lights – lots of them (hence a possible need for shades). Daddy Yankee even dons a vest with bright lights embroidered on it. The video also includes dance performances.

According to People, the 36-year-old female vocalist of the Black Eyed Peas did an impromptu performance with her bandmates at a recent launch party for Ubisoft’s Black Eyed Peas Experience video game. Fergie was also reportedly spotting chatting it up with her fellow Peas and Colombian-Venezuelan actor Wilmer Valderrama.

—Puerto Rican reggaeton artist Daddy Yankee was spotted in Las Vegas with 62 year-old Dominican television presenter Charytín in a yellow sports-car several days before the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards, according to People en Espanol. The 34 year-old singer is nominated for an award this year and is appearing in a televised special with Charytín prior the award show broadcast on Univision.

Daddy Yankee keeps churning out dance hits! The Boricua reggaetonero’s latest single, titled “Lovumba,” hit iTunes yesterday. A blend of soca, mambo, and dance beats, the song, written by Yankee himself is the second single off his highly anticipated album Prestige (out later this year).
