Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez have made Billboard’s annual ranking of music’s most powerful minors. The 21 Under 21 list includes pop singers, producers, and actors and it’s actually no surprise to us that both made the cut; Lovato and Gomez’s careers are seriously caliente right now.

Before he was a TV star, J.R. Martinez was an infantryman in the U.S. Army. During his deployment to Iraq in 2003, the Salvadoran served as a Humvee driver, and when his left front tire hit a landmine, Martinez suffered burns to more than 40 percent of his body. Since then, the Army vet has undergone 33 cosmetic and skin graft surgeries.

With the second episode of ABC's Dancing with the Stars airing tonight (8/7c), we caught up with this season's Latino standout J.R. Martinez. The Army Veteran and former All My Children star spoke to Latina.com about his Latino roots, what it's like to be on Dancing with the Stars, and why he wants to win the whole thing for his fellow Latinos!

For J.R. Martinez, drama is an occupation – and a part of his past. The 28-year-old actor stars in the ABC soap, All My Children. A large part of Martinez’s face is scarred, which serve as clues to a life-altering accident he had while serving in the U.S. Army years ago. The Salvadorian actor has overcome a great deal since then, including more than 30 surgeries and physical therapy.

Puerto Rican actor Erik Estrada (CHiPs) was all smiles last night as he made his dancing debut on the season premiere of Univision's hit show, ¡Mira Quién Baila! (AKA the Spanish-language version of Dancing with the Stars). But don't expect to see Estrada doing the pasodoble on ABC's Dancing with the Stars anytime soon. "I turned that down twice already," Estrada tells Latina.com exclusively.

Yesterday, we reported that Salvadorean soap star J.R. Martinez (All My Children) will be one of the stars competing on the 13th season of ABC's Dancing with the Stars (premiering Sept. 19th on ABC).
