Our celebs have gotten really savvy with social media, particularly Twitter, especially when it comes to breaking news. Gloria Estefan just joined earlier this year (@gloriaestefan), thanks to Pharrell, who produced her new album, Miss Little Havana. Ever since joining, her following has grown to 75,000 and counting.

As part of ‘Gloria Estefan Week’ here at LATINA, we decided to do a song-by-song breakdown of her new dance album, Miss Little Havana, out September 27 (hard copy at Target, digital copy through iTunes). We went out and bought the album’s Target edition because we loved the album art by Cuban American artist LEBO so much!

Another Latino crossover artist is emerging! Natalia Jimenez—whose beautiful, passionate vocals won us over as the lead singer of La Quinta Estación—is releasing her first self-titled solo album! Emilio Estefan produced Jimenez’s debut album and encouraged her to record three songs in English with the translation help of his wife, Gloria Estefan.
