The time is rapidly approaching for us to finally see Ricky Martin do his thing on Broadway!

As we’ve been reporting for months now, our gorgeous February 2012 cover model will star in the highly anticipated musical Evita, which will begin its previews on March 12. 

We did a little more digging, then realized Martin isn’t alone on Broadway. There are other Latino stars who have pranced around stage and sang their hearts out recently and otherr who, like Martin, are ready to hit the stage this spring.

According to America’s Voice Online, Maricopa County (AZ) Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s reign may end soon, as a result of a three-year investigation conducted by the department. Those familiar with Arpaio know of his controversial practices aimed at cracking down illegal immigration, and the fierce criticism he has received because of it.

After an arduous battle surrounding a controversy over the state’s congressional redistricting, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (MALDEF) released a statement recently about a new court-proposed plan that promises Latinos increased electoral opportunity in Texas. According to MALDEF, a new redistricting plan was released by three federal judges in San Antonio that will improve the representation for Latinos in Texas.
