At Rosa Cha (the queen of super-sexy Brazilian bikinis), MAC makeup artist Nadine Luke played off the “birds of paradise” fashion inspiration and created a vibrant two-toned blue and orange eye. Her pro tip: By layering the blue eye pencil and blue cream eye shadow (both in a shade called “Cyan”), the color won’t budge—even under hot runway lights. She finished the eye with MAC StudioFix Lash, $14, maccosmetics.com, which she describes as a “credit card product; don’t leave home without it!”

After creating his ocean-inspired spring collection, Carmen Marc Valvo came to MAC makeup artist Romero Jennings knowing that a teal eye would be the perfect complement. Romero modernized the classic 60s shade by pairing it with a light gold-green metallic (the new MAC shade, called Dalliance, will be available this spring) and a neutral, brownish-pink lip color (the shade, called Super is part of a new Kissable Lip Color line also coming out in spring).

Andrew Sotomayor, celeb makeup artist and director of makeup for Wonderland Beauty Parlor, shares exactly what he’d use to recreate this fresh-yet-glam face:

One of summer’s emerging beauty trends, which is set to stay strong this fall, is to match one part of your makeup to one part of your outfit. It’s easy—and eye-catching! The trick is to choose just one color to match. Then make sure that they’re close to each other (like your lips to your earrings). These celebs are pulling off the trend perfectly.

Jessica Alba, a Revlon Brand Ambassador, tweeted this pic of her and photographer Jake Nava at a Revlon photo shoot Wednesday. Based on the image, I expected the ad to be for fall’s hot red lipstick trend; but Revlon tells me that it’s actually for their Just Add Sparkle nail enamels.
