When Ricky Martin first came on the music scene as a member of the Latino boy band, Menudo, he was 12. Or was he?
During an interview with Ellen Degeneres (airing Thursday at 4 p.m.), the Puerto Rican singer revealed that he lied about his age to join Menudo.
"When I was 12 years old I started in the music business and my manager told me, 'I want you to say you’re 11 years old, so you can stay longer in the band,' " Ricky said.

People.com is reporting that Ricky Martin told Oprah Winfrey during their exclusive interview that he "just started crying like a little baby" after he sent the email announcing to the world that he was gay. Martin's interview with the talk show queen airs tomorrow, November 2nd.
