Juanes is back! Today, the Colombian rockero released “La Señal” (The Signal) off his highly anticipated MTV Unplugged album. The single is produced by legendary hitmaker Juan Luis Guerra and is also the first Latin song from Universal to be specifically mastered for iTunes.

During a recent sold-out concert, Mexican rock group Maná spread pro-immigrant and pro-environment messages to its fans, the Latin American Herald Tribune reports. “Never forget your roots…we have to keep fighting those lousy damn racists,” lead singer Fernando “Fher” Olvera told the crowd of about 10,000 people.

Colombian rockeros Aterciopelados have never shied away from commenting on political and social issues through their music. The band’s latest video tackles the immigration debate with lyrics and images. The clip is for the song "Bandera," which was recorded for the 2008 album Rio but might as well have been written with Arizona's controversial SB1070 legislation in mind.
"Who are you?/ Where were you born?/ Therefore you can’t enter this country," sings vocalist Andrea Echeverri.
