Camille Guaty is best known for her gritty, dramatic performances on TV shows like The Nine, Las Vegas and Prison Break, but when the part-Cuban, part-boricua actress stopped by Vivo por TiVo a few weeks ago, we talked about her upcoming roles in the revived ABC series Cupid, premiering March 31, and the summer rom-com Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (out May 1), in which Guaty plays a fussy bridesmaid opposite Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Garner.

No one is immune to job loss in this uncertain economy—not even your favorite Latin TV stars! Shocking, I know, but what is really going to be shocking is seeing a boatload of our stars lose their jobs in May. We don't know everyone who will be affected at this point, but here's what we do know, starting with Scrubs. After moving from NBC to ABC for its 8th season, the future of this tongue-in-cheek comedy, which stars Dominican actress Judy Reyes looks bleak.

Hola, Sound Check-ers! I'm about to hop on a flight to Austin, Texas (my first time in the Lone Star State) to check out the SXSW Music Conference and what will surely be a nonstop week of concerts, parties and lots of yummy Mexican food. I'll be blogging about it all later in the week...but before I dive into indie music festival-land, can we talk about Idol? Because I need to.

If you’re a fan of Gossip Girl (and really, who isn’t nowadays?), then you’re really going to love Lily, the spin-off that debuts May 11 during a regular episode of Gossip Girl and is a shoo-in to get picked up by CW for the fall '09 season. EW.com's Michael Ausiello reports that Lily, set in Los Angeles, will center around the alter-ego of Gossip Girl's Kelly Rutherford in her teen years.

As much as I love Jaslene Gonzalez (the winner of America’s Next Top Model’s 8th season), I think it’s time for another sexy, straight-talking Latina to keep it real with Tyra Banks and earn her place as the top model du jour. And with two Latinas among the final 13 aspiring catwalkers on ANTM this season, I may just get what I want.

Mexican actress and Grey's Anatomy star Sara Ramirez, 33, opened up to Vivo Por TiVo about her changing onscreen love interests, making out with Jessica Capshaw, her favorite TV shows and more…
Your character, Callie Torres, wasn’t always a lesbian on Grey's...so why the transition? Was it a ratings ploy, or are there not enough worthy men at Seattle Grace?

If it were up to Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez, the next American Idol would be Jorge Nuñez! The couple was so overjoyed when Nuñez sang his way into the show's final Top 12 this week, Marc Anthony himself sent host Ryan Seacrest a text message asking him to pass on their congratulations and best wishes to the 20-year-old Puerto Rican.

Did you catch Jorge Nuñez on American Idol last night? At long last, the young boricua made his Top 36 debut, and it was filled with everything from tears to long-held vibrato notes to a debate over his magically disappearing Spanish accent.

Exactly 92 years ago today, in Santiago, Cuba, a Latino legend was born. His name was Desiderio Alberto Arnaz y de Acha III (mi madre, what a name!), but American audiences got to know him by another, much shorter moniker: Desi Arnaz.
At 22, Arnaz's career took off when he made his Broadway debut as Manuelito Lynch in the musical Too Many Girls and went on to star in the 1940 movie version (along with one funny lady who would later become his wife: Lucille Ball).

I’ve been a fan of boricua actor Rick Gonzalez ever since he encouraged Frank The Tank (Will Ferrell) to chug beer in Old School, and he was the only good thing about Illegal Tender (A.K.A. the worst movie of 2007, according to us). I've always liked the fact that he isn't afraid to tell it like it is, which is why I’ll be tuning in to watch him provide comic relief on Reaper, a CW dramedy entering its sophomore season mext month.
