Dora the Explorer is coming to a theater near you thanks to Michael Bay's company, Platinum Dunes. Yes, you heard right! The company own by Bay, the producer who worked on the Transformers franchise, will be producing a live-action film about the popular Nickelodeon series.
Nick Stoller, the filmmaker behind Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Neighbors, will be working on the script. Although little is known about the upcoming film, the movie will follow teenage Dora who moves to the city to live with her cousin Diego. No release date set yet, but 2019 looks pretty promising.
Of course, the internet had a complete field day when the news was announced. Below are some of the reactions.

We live in a world where a Dora the Explorer movie with Michael Bay as its producer is going to be a thing.
This is the darkest timeline.
