The 2024 Oscar nominations were announced yesterday and the anticipation is high for the upcoming ceremony which is set to take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, on March 10.
Leading the 2024 Oscar nominations is the biographical thriller film, “Oppenheimer,” with 13 nominations. Followed by “Poor Things” with 11, “Killers of the Flower Moon” with 10, and “Barbie” with eight.
Among other notable records is Lily Gladstone’s nomination, marking her as the first Native American acting nominee, and Martin Scorsese, now the most nominated living movie director.
The Latin community wasn’t far behind in setting records. Latin directors and producers are nominated across categories including best supporting role, animated feature, and documentary.
