My first day of New York Fashion Week shows was an absolute blast — partly because I was treated like royalty, and greatly because I spent it with 18-year old viral sensation, artist and designer Kyemah McEntrye and her aunt Catina Noelle.
We met at the Tracy Reese show, and we were escorted into two different areas. Because I was there as a reporter, I was seated in the second row. From my vantage point, I could see all the biggest names in fashion, including Vogue contributor Andre Leon Talley and iconic actress and fashionista Sarah Jessica Parker.
The show was incredible. There were gorgeous pieces that I’d probably never step foot in (like the rain coats and the plastic heels), but there were other pieces, like the flowing solid hued green dresses and kimono tops, that I prayed were available in my size.
We spoke briefly to Tracy Reese about her inspirations for the incredible spring/summer line. "Spring is always a huge source of inspiration for me," she told us. "Rebirth. Growth. Green, green, green."
It was a great day, and an incredible start to my NYFW experience. Happy Fashion Week, friends!
