Latin Grammy-nominated Venezuelan artist collective Rawayana releases sentimental video for track “En Tu Mar” from their latest studio album “Cuando los Acéfalos Predominan.” Fer Casillas‘ sweet and expressive voice and Cheo Pardo‘s guitar perfectly complement this heartbreaking song, a down tempo emotional ballad which presents both sides of the coin, the two versions of a love story falling apart.
The minimalist visuals were directed by José Corredor & Lucas Gath and filmed in Mexico City. As the screen slowly rotates around the room, we see the collective crooning the lyrics of the song until Cheo Pardo’s guitar solo comes in and the room starts spinning. “’En Tu Mar’ spins on its own axis like the passage of time. The rotating movement suggests that time, inevitably, brings back the harm we cause to others. The outcome is always unexpected and constantly changing. What is certain and true today, tomorrow may not be,” explains José Corredor about the video concept.
