Welcome to LATINA’s weekly roundup of the best new music. This week’s list includes Shakira‘s fiery corrido with Fuerza Regida, Natti Natasha‘s knockout collaboration with Tokischa, and the new album from Rawayana.

Also on the list: Aitana‘s empowering duet with Danna Paola, Debi Nova‘s return to music, and the emergence of Cuban-American singer Paola Guanche. Plus, Feid‘s Afrobeats banger with Rema and Manuel Medrano’s nostalgic love song.

Shakira and Fuerza Regida, “El Jefe”

Shakira‘ enters her corridos tumbados era. The Colombian icon teamed up with Mexican-American group Fuerza Regida for her new single “El Jefe.” She proves herself to a woman of the people as she sings about sticking it to the man, or in this case a boss. Fuerza Regida’s Jesús Ortíz Paz joins her in saluting the Latinos who work hard everyday to provide for themselves and their families. Shakira also takes a shot at her ex Gerard Piqué’s father. She is fired up with Fuerza Regida in this blazing corrido.

Natti Natasha and Tokischa, “No Pare” Remix

Two Dominican queens are joinining forces. Natti Natasha enlisted Tokischa for the remix of her sexy song “No Pare.” In the reggaeton romp, Tokischa turns up the heat with her unfiltered flow. Natasha also takes the freaky energy from the original version to the next level. “We want women to be empowered and not let themselves be limited to anything,” Natasha shared in a statement. “They’re owners of their destiny and are capable of creating their own paths.” Both women play off each other well in this knockout collaboration.

Debi Nova, “Baño De Luna”

Debi Nova is back with new music. The Costa Rican singer-songwriter returned with her single “Baño De Luna.” Nova co-produced the song with Juan Pablo Vega and Afo Verde. In the tropical delight, she sings about looking to the moon while thinking of life back at home. “When due to different situations we have to be away from our homeland and that feeling of happiness and undeniable longing that blooms when you know that you will be able to return soon,” Nova tells LATINA about the song. She is hard at work on her next album.

Aitana and Danna Paola, “AQYNE”

Aitana brings back the sound of pop from the ’90s and 2000s with her new album “Alpha.” The Spanish singer teams up with Danna Paola for the standout track “AQYNE.” Backed by pulsating house music beats, Aitana and the Mexican pop star trade verses about finding freedom and fun on the dance floor following a breakup. The women’s voices compliment each other well in this empowering club anthem. With her own album on the way soon, Paola recently revealed that she is a new global ambassador for MAC Cosmetics.

Paola Guanche, “Quererte Igual”

A big congrats are in store for Paola Guanche. The Cuban-American singer is nominated for Best New Artist at this year’s Latin Grammy Awards. A decade after winning La Voz Kids in 2013, Guanche released her breakthrough EP “Reencuentro.” Embracing her bicultural roots, she brings influences of R&B, soul, and gospel into Latin music. Guanche’s powerhouse voice soars in her songs like the heart-wrenching “Quererte Igual” and the sensual “Prohibido.” She is the niece of Aymee Nuviola, who has previously won a Grammy and Latin Grammy. Now Guanche is starting to make her mark.

Rawayana and Monsieur Periné, “Hora Loca”

Rawayana shows there are no limits to Latin music. In the Venezuelan band’s new album “¿Quién Trae Las Cornetas?”, the guys collaborate with artists from different genres. Previously, they released “Besos Ricos” with Colombian rapper and singer Goyo. Venezuelan-American artist Elena Rose, who is nominated for Songwriter of the Year at the Latin Grammy Awards, joins Rawayana in the funky “Consciencia.” Colombian band Monsieur Periné later combines its tropical sounds with Rawayana’s alternative edge in their feel-good song “Hora Loca.” Rawayana moves to the beat of its own drum in this colorful LP.

Feid and Rema, “Bubalu”

Feid dabbles in Afrobeats alongside one of the genre’s biggest artists. The Colombian star teamed up with Nigerian artist Rema for his new single “Bubalu.” Rema is most known for the remix of his global hit “Calm Down” with Selena Gomez. Now he is singing in Spanish for the first time with Feid in their hypnotic banger. Feid and Rema take turns singing about a romance that feels like a tropical getaway. The song will be included on Feid’s album “Mor, No Le Temas A La Oscuridad,” which will be released on September 29.

Manuel Medrano, “Verano En NY”

Summer may be over, but Manuel Medrano has captured the nostalgia for the season in his new single. The Colombian singer-songwriter embraces elements of synth-pop in the dreamy “Verano En NY.” With his deep and sultry voice, Medrano sings about wanting to rekindle a summer romance. The song will be included on his upcoming third album. “The album is inspired by music with powerful and romantic lyrics,” he told LATINA. “The songs talk about love, self-love, and reconnecting with your emotions and the universe. It’s a very bacano album.”
