It’s official, everybody – Ana de Armas can do anything. From high-caliber dramas and high-concept comedies, to big-budget actioners, out-of-the-box horror, and everything in between, Ana de Armas is the real deal.
It all started with her breakout role in 2015’s “Knock Knock”, where she starred opposite Keanu Reeves as a seductive but deadly home invader. Eight years later, de Armas is now an Oscar-nominated actress who regularly stars in nine-figure blockbuster movies and kills it every single time. On top of everything, she somehow found time to host “SNL” and film the upcoming “John Wick” spinoff, “Ballerina”.
Her new film “Ghosted” is no outlier in her hard-hitting career. The actress teamed up with Chris Evans for the third time, following 2019’s “Knives Out” and 2022’s “The Gray Man”, in this romantic action comedy about a first date that quickly turns into something else entirely. After de Armas’ character, Sadie Rhodes, ghosts Evans’ Cole Turner after the best first date of all time, Cole tracks Sadie down in Europe to see what went wrong.
The problem, it turns out, wasn’t with him. Instead, it’s the fact that Sadie is actually an international spy in the middle of a globe-trotting mission to save the world. Now, mild-mannered Cole is along for the ride, finding himself thrust into an underworld he didn’t even know existed.
In addition to starring in “Ghosted”, de Armas has taken on a new role as an executive producer on the film. The multi-hyphenate actress worked side-by-side with director Dexter Fletcher (“Rocketman”) and writers Chris McKenna (“Community”), Rhett Reese, and Paul Wernick (“Deadpool”) both in front of and behind the camera.
“Ghosted” is available to stream on AppleTV+.
