Awards shows are memorable for several reasons, and the allure of celebrity fashion is undoubtedly one of the highlights. At the 2024 Golden Globes, our favorite stars not only dressed to impress but elevated their fashion game by seamlessly blending Old Hollywood charm with a modern twist.

Setting the tone for the evening was Jennifer Lopez, who turned heads in a stunning pink gown adorned with oversized rosettes serving as off-the-shoulder sleeves. Opting for a timeless look, she complemented her attire with understated makeup and classic Old Hollywood waves. Equally captivating was Selena Gomez, donning a striking red Giorgio Armani dress that instantly caught the eye. Fans couldn’t stop gushing about her homage to Marilyn Monroe, as she recreated the iconic wind-blown dress pose.

Pedro Pascal also commanded attention with his fashion statement. The Chilean-American actor sported a classic Bottega Veneta ensemble, featuring a black and white turtleneck paired with black trousers. What set his look apart was a unique yet essential accessory – an arm sling, a result of a recent fall-induced injury.

Beyond the sartorial splendor, the night witnessed significant moments. Lily Gladstone etched her name in history as the first Indigenous person to win a Golden Globe. The film “Barbie,” with America Ferrera and Ariana Greenblatt in the cast, secured the Cinematic and Box-Office Achievement award in a new category.

Regrettably, Latin representation was somewhat lacking outside of the fashion realm, but there remains hope for a more inclusive future in upcoming awards shows.
