Jasmine V's Beauty & Boys: "3 Homemade Beauty Products You Can't Live Without"

Hi Jasminators! I hope you liked my last music video and checked out my previous blog to get all the looks I rocked in the video. Today my blog is going to be about three homemade beauty products that you can't live without! You don't always have to spend a lot of money buying expensive beauty products that promise to make your skin and hair look fab. Sometimes the best options are found right in your kitchen cabinet for a tenth of the price!

1. Brown Sugar Lip Scrub: This is actually one of my favorite things to do, especially during the winter. In the winter the weather can get pretty dry and make your lips look super chapped. Take a small bowl and combine 1 tsp. of olive oil and 1 tsp. of brown sugar. Take a small spoon to mix the olive oil with the sugar until it looks like course sand. I usually like to take a brand new toothbrush and dip it in the mixture and then lightly scrub my lips. Make sure you scrub gently with the toothbrush, you don't want to bruise your lips. After rinse it off with some water and put on your favorite chapstick or lip balm to help keep the moisture in.

2. Cucumber Eye Mask: I'm always on the road traveling and sometimes I barely get any sleep and I'll end up with ugly dark circles under my eyes! (Yuck!) Even though makeup can cover it, sometimes you want to try to treat it from the roots. All you have to do is take a cucumber chop it into half an inch pieces and put it in a bowl and leave it in the fridge until it gets cold. Next, you have to find the most comfortable couch you can find and kick your feet up and place the cucumbers right on top of your lids and chill for a good 30 minutes. You will need to make sure that you have no makeup on your eyes at all before you do the treatment. It also helps to turn your favorite songs on to help your relax. Since you only need 2 slices of the cucumbers you should take the rest of the slices and put it in a jar of water and add some lemons and it will make a great refreshment!

3. Hair Conditioning Treatment:

Being in the entertainment industry my hair is always going through a lot of stress from curling irons, flat irons, and other heating utensils. All the heat applied to my hair causes it to get real dry and brittle. At least once a month I try to take time to do a really good home conditioning treatment. Here's what you will need to do:

Combine 2 Tbl. of honey and 3 Tbl. olive oil together in a bowl. Mix it really well and then apply it thoroughly to your hair. Next, you want to take a shower cap and set it for 15 minutes. When you are done make sure you wash your hair with a great moisturizing shampoo that doesn't have sulfates. Then use a moisture conditioner lightly for a few seconds and rinse off. Make sure you try to use cool water so that you can lock the moisture in your hair. This treatment should get your hair back to being shiny and soft :)
