Always the hit maker, Tracy Reese, knocked it out of the tents again this season. With so many people anxiously waiting for the show to start, seats were dwindling and mine was taken. As I was almost struck down by sadness, the PR team moved this Latina to the front row seconds before the show started.
The next few minutes were so intense that I found myself picking up my jaw look after look. While a lot of other designers went the moody route, Tracy Reese sent bold, raw sophistication down the runway.

Zac Posen is a man of vision, so it was interesting to hear that he didn't quite see the vision of John Frieda Global Creative Consultant, Luigi Murenu, when he described his plans to crimp the hair for Posen's Fall 2013 runway collection. Assured by Luigi of this look, it ended up being one of the best this season, easily.

This season, Custo Barcelona's collection was inspired by Beauty & The Beast. Though not the Disney rendition, the famed Spanish designer's focus was sexy and full of fluidity, aka the beauty. Yet, it also had a hardness of sorts, the beast. We saw a collection full of textures, short dresses and winter coats with intricate sleeve details, sporty sweatshirts with feminine design details that were all complimented with a hair look created by Duffy for Oribe.

Kenneth Cole celebrated their 30th Anniversary with a return to the runway after a 7 year hiatus with a brilliantly themed event, "Social Netwalking", focusing on the drastically evolved world we now live in populated by smart phones and social networking sites. This brave new world, with its instant gratification via live tweets and pictures via Instagram and Facebook, has transcended the fashion industry since Kenneth Cole's last runway show nearly a decade ago.

Leave it to the bold NYC native, Mara Hoffman, to bring neon and spaghetti strapped maxi dresses to a fall runway collection! Hoffman, who is married to Miami native and artist Javier Piñón never disappoints with her fresh collections. The now-established designer got her big break when she was stopped by Sex and the City stylist Patricia Field on the streets of NYC for a chance outfit compliment! She’s one lucky chica!

Looks like the tomboy grew up to be a beautiful, sexy woman who still rocks tomboy style. Nicole Miller's dark and sensuous collection looked very much inspired by menswear but focused on fitting the feminine form and balancing it out with a few sexier styles.
While Miller's Fall 2013 collection lacked much color, an array of prints and a few sparks of burnt orange were spotted down the runway - just enough to give it a bit of life. Our favorite touch, of course, would be the fedoras...because really, who doesn't love a good fedora?

A little bit Victorian, a little bit Scottish, and a whole lot of red eyeshadow at Ruffian for Fall 2013.
MAC makeup artist James Kaliardos, who designed the look, focused on a very monochromatic look by using Loves Lure (a new product out this Spring) on both the lids as well as the cheek to give an intense flush. Staining the lip in a cranberry color, Kaliardos was able to pull together the look.
While there may be a lot going on, it pulled together beautifully on the runway and complimented the collection overall.

The hair at Jill Stuart Fall 2013 was chic, yet simple and fresh, conceptualized by the legendary Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris.
Gilbert, one of the world's most sought after hairstylists, was very easy going and carefree, much like the look as she spoke with Latina on how to recreate this yourself and her three must have products.

Polly Osmond created yet another amazing look for MAC Cosmeticsat the Christian Siriano Fall 2013 runway show. The ever-so-friendly Polly and her talented team of artists were happy to chat with Latina about the look we were seeing on the runway.
Since the focus was on a dark and intense eye using Carbon eyeshadow by MAC, she opted for a semi-matte, contoured face, highlighting only the cheeks with a bit of sheen.

New York's City's blizzard, aka Snowmageddon, couldn't keep the fashion crowd away from Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week tents.
At Noon By Noor, garments of gray, burgundy and navy avalanched down the runway. The skirt lengths, endless array of pant suits and bows took on a librarian chic look that transported us back a few decades.
