Well, we saw that coming. Javier Bardem has been nominated for a Critics' Choice Movie Award by the Broacast Film Critics Association. The actor has earned a nod as "Best Supporting Actor" for his portrayal of the villan Raoul Silva in the latest James Bond flick, Skyfall.
Bardem joins co-star Judi Dench, who has earned a nomination for "Best Supporting Actress" as well as "Best Actress in an Action Movie," and Daniel Craig, who has nominations as "Best Actor in an Action Movie." The film received nine nominations in total.
When talking about his role in the Sam Mendes movie, he said, "[Silva] was open to different interpretations. It was Sam's idea for the word 'uncomfortableness' that made the imagination be triggered in me."
Bardem recently received his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, along with Thalia and nine other celebrities.
The 18th Annual Critics' Choice Movie Awards will take place on Thursday January 10, 2013 and will air on The CW Network at 8 pm EST. Will you be watching?
