Kate del Castillo Hosting First Ever Billboard Mexican Music Awards

Mexican actress Kate Del Castillo and ranchero musician Pedro Fernandez are all set to host the first ever Billboard Mexican Music Awards, which will be broadcast on Telemundo on October 27 at 7 PM/6 C.

Among the musical acts scheduled to perform at the inaugural award show are Jenni Rivera, Julion Alvarez y su Norteño Banda, América Sierra, and El Bebeto. Award presenters for the event will include actors Gaby Espino and Jorge Luis Pina, as well as musical artists Carmen Jara and Rogelio Martinez. The pre-show, to be hosted by Lupillo Rivera and Monica Noguera, with Jessie Camacho and Yarel Ramos, will certainly have a red carpet full of the biggest names in Mexican music.

The award show will celebrate the music and musicians in this popular genre to further acknowledge Mexican music. This televised award show is very important for Telemundo, which has been broadcasting more national and international events like the 2008 Olympic Games from Bejing and the Billboard Latin Music Awards.
