Marc Anthony on Anti-Latino Twitter Remarks: "It Doesn't Shock Me"

Marc Anthony isn’t surprised at all by the recent backlash he received after singing “God Bless America” at the MLB All-Star game last week.

In a July 23 appearance on HuffPost Live, the Boricua salsa singer addressed the “anti-Latino language” used in the U.S. today.

“No it doesn’t shock me,” Anthony told host Marc Lamont Hill.

Despite the fact that the singer was born and raised in New York City’s East Harlem neighborhood, people still took to Twitter to question his citizenship as he performed.
