Miss District of Columbia Wins Miss USA 2017

1. For the second year in a row, Miss District of Columbia has taken home the Miss USA crown. This year, 25-year-old Kara McCullough won the title in Las Vegas against the other contestants. McCullough is a chemist working for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, who hopes to "inspire children to pursue careers" in the sciences. She also expressed her views on feminism – explaining that she'd like to use the word "equalism" instead – and health care – explaining that it is a privilege. (ABC News
