What's the teen equivalent to an Oscar statue? A surfboard of course!
Universal Studio’s Gibson Amphitheater held one of this year’s biggest nights for young Hollywood, as it hosted the 2013 Teen Choice Awards.
Social media sites were flowing with fandom support, where "Selenators," "Lovatics," “Harmonizers," and of course the "Directioners," took to Twitter (which ironically won “Choice Social Network”) in favor of their favorite celebrity. Inside of course, screaming “fangirls” and “fanboys” went wild as their favorite celebrities performed, or received a coveted award that night.
Some of the night’s highlights featured our favorite Latino celebrities. X Factor judge Demi Lovato and former show contestants Fifth Harmony presented the “Acuvue Inspire Award” to Nick Jonas, while Bella Thorne and “Come and Get It” songstress Selena Gomez presented awards that evening as well. Gomez, along with Lovato, Jake T. Austin, Bruno Mars, Zoe Saldana and Michelle Rodriguez, were some of the Latino talent nominated for the coveted surfboards that evening.
While on the blue carpet, we caught up with The Fosters' Jake T. Austin and Cierra Ramirez, U.K. group “Little Mix,” and Disney actress Laura Marano. Check out our interview below!
