This spring theatres will welcome a gun slinging, dramatic mustache clad telenovela inspired movie starring none other than the hilarious Will Ferrell. The film, Casa de mi Padre, tells the story of Mexican Rancher Armando Alvarez (Ferrell) who falls for his younger brother Raul’s (Diego Luna) new fiancée, Sonia (Genesis Rodriguez). The problems for Armando do not end there, however, as he and his brother are forced to combat Mexico’s villainous drug lord Onza (Gael Garcia Bernal) according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Did we mention the movie, which is set to open March 16th, was filmed entirely in Spanish? This means the film dubbed “The Funniest Movie You’ll Ever Read,” will feature Ferrell wheeling, dealing and singing entirely in Spanish.
Directed by Funny or Die and SNL alum Matt Piedmont, this melodramatic film is sure to be chock-full of laughter.
