Do you think you’re helping debunk Colombian stereotypes?
I’m always looking to portray complex characters. I think Teo Braga is an enigmatic character that people won’t understand much what is happening with him, what he is thinking, what his position is. I think we’re breaking barriers, and as time goes on we’re getting better characters.
What is the role of your dreams?
The role of my dreams is the one I’m doing at the moment. I try to put all my energy, my intuition, and all of my hard work to every role I’m doing.
As a native colombiano, what city would you recommend people travel to for a great summer getaway?
Colombia is a very diverse country, very rich in diversities. We have the two oceans—the Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean. It depends what they want. If they want the coast, we have Cartagena, Santa Marta, La Sierra Nevada, Ciudad Perdida, which is totally spectacular. There’s Cali, which is where I’m from. It’s the home of Colombian salsa music. And now that things are good here in Colombia, I invite everyone to come get to know Colombia.
