Felicidades, Roselyn Sanchez!

The Puerto Rican actress, who stars as Carmen Luna on Lifetime's Devious Maids, made her Spanish-language television debut this past weekend on MundoFox's new comedy Familia en Venta.

"I've been wanting to do something in Spanish for a long time," she told Fox News Latino"I read Familia en Venta, and I was laughing so hard."

Sanchez, 41, filmed the show in Colombia three years ago, before she began shooting her hit Lifetime series"Familia en Venta prepared me for Devious Maids, because I was able to do 13 episodes of full comedy, working along stand-up comedian Carlos Espejel," she said. "I don't do stand-up comedy, so to be able to study somebody's work, and see how [Espejel] breaks down the material and how he improvises. By the time I went back to do Devious Maids, I was like, I got it!"

Familia En Venta follows the adventures of one extremely dysfunctional family. Sanchez and Espejel star as ex-wife and ex-husband. Due to the housing market crisis, the estranged lovers are forced to live with each other. Hilarity ensues as they attempt to raise a family that includes their quirky son, free-spirited daughter and a grandfather.

In real life, Roselyn Sanchez boasts a much more glamorous life than her on-screen persona.
