The “Lopez” Factor: 11 Shows Mario Lopez Has Hosted!

Mario Lopez is returning as host of The X Factor! We're excited to see the Mexican-American hottie grace our TV screens once again for Simon Cowell's music competition. The news was confirmed yesterday that Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to the show as co-host. "I’m thrilled Mario is back for Season Three of The X Factor,” Cowell said recently. "Hosting a live show and keeping the judges – especially Demi – in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he’s coming back.”

But of course Lopez is a pro - after all, the now 39-year-old star has been practicing his hosting craft for years. Find out all the shows Lopez has hosted over the years below. Do you think you know them all?

1. Lopez Host: Name Your Adventure

1992

We still referred to him as A.C. Slater from Saved By The Bell when the fresh-faced hunk took us for a ride on NBC’s reality series, Name Your Adventure. The show was all about making a teen’s dream come true as producers would send Mario knocking on a lucky contestant’s door to jumpstart their career aventura. We wish he rang our bell!

2. Lopez Host: The Other Half

2001

Mario joined the male version of The View as a co-host for NBC's The Other Half. The fellas, also including, Dick Clark, Danny Bonaduce and Dorian Gregory, dished on everything from love and relationships to pop headlines. Although the show was canceled due to poor ratings, he was the cutie we loved to watch!

3. Lopez Host: Live with Kelly

2007

Besides Mario being in the running as Kelly Ripa's co-host replacement for Regis Philbin on ABC's Live!, he guest hosted with the morning show star back in 2007. These two had major chemistry!

4. Lopez Host: Dating Factory

2008

Mario co-hosted The Dating Factory along with Carmen Palumbo for the former Si TV network. The show split up "Hotties" and "Playas" into separate teams and had them compete for their one true love – or at least their perfect match in front of the cameras.

5. Lopez Host: Top Pop Group

2008

MTV's interactive talent competition Top Pop Group aired its finale just four weeks after its first episode premiered. Sure, it was short-lived, but Mario was still as fly as ever on the show!

6. Lopez Host: Miss America/Universe

2010

There she is...Miss America! Lopez hosted the annual pageant and helped crown the winner in 2007, 2008, and 2010. Talk about a winning gig!

7. Lopez Host: Miss Universe

2010

The Latino star also co-host Miss Universe that year in Mexico with Vanessa Minnillo and witnessed the beautiful Mexican contestant Ximena Navarrete win the coveted crown.

8. Lopez Host: America's Best Dance Crew

2008-2012

Besides the fab dancers competing for $100,000, we tuned in to watch ABDC to catch Mario's signature dimples and encouraging interviews with the dance crews. If only he would have gotten on the dance floor for some B-Boy moves!

9. Lopez Host: Extra

2008 to Present

Who doesn't catch Mario in action at The Grove for their Extra dose of Hollywood? The 39-year-old host has interviewed everyone from The Kardashians to William Levy - and we wouldn't want it any other way!

10. Lopez Host: Wendy Williams Show

2012

'How you doin'?' The talented chicano co-hosted The Wendy Williams Show and was all about his underwear line for ratedm.com. Boxers or briefs? We think he definitely answered that question!

11. Lopez Host: The X Factor

2012

The veteran host joined Fox's The X Factor during its second season. Fans tune-in twice a week to watch Mario share the stage with reality television star Khloe Kardashian. We wonder how much these two are making on the payroll...
