It’s been almost three months since Hurricane Maria made landfall on Puerto Rico.
The powerful category 4 storm plowed through the Caribbean island destroying homes and knocking out power, leaving millions without electricity. Many weeks later, our precious Isla del Encanto is still struggling to get on its feet.
While the Trump Administration's aid for Puerto Rico has fallen short, celebrities like La La Anthony are taking matters into their own hands. The 38-year-old, who was one of the many celebs who brought immediate awareness following the hurricane, has teamed up with Lord & Taylor to create a relief T-shirt that raises funds for the island. The t-shirt, which is available in sizes S - XXL, retails for $25, with 100% of the net proceeds going to Unidos Por Puerto Rico, an initiative brought forth by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló.
The philanthropic collaboration with the retail giant is very near and dear to Anthony's heart. “As a proud Puerto Rican, part of the strength and resilience of my culture has always been to be of service. While much of our beautiful island is still in darkness, I want to continue a humanitarian effort to help bring light and hope back to Puerto Rico," the former TRL host said. “And I couldn’t think of a better way to be of service than to partner with my family at Lord & Taylor to create a relief T-shirt that everyone can wear proudly, to not only show their Puerto Rican pride but to put our money where our hearts are."
Of course, this is the not the first time the brunette beauty has teamed up with Lord & Taylor. Back in August, Anthony blessed us curvy Latinas with a size-inclusive denim line at the retailer.
