You Can Now Buy Mariah Carey 'Tea Shirts' Inspired By Her New Year's Eve Request

Mariah Carey hit the stage on New Year's Eve to redeem herself from last year's lip-syncing disaster. And while the performance was flawless, one thing was missing, her hot tea.

During the live broadcast of Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, the mother-of-two stopped after her first song to request some tea to fight off the frigid temperatures. “I just want to take a sip of tea if they’ll let me — they told me there would be tea,” she told the audience.

After no one answered her request, she said, “Oh, it’s a disaster. Okay, well, we’ll just have to rough it. I’m going to be like everybody else, with no hot tea."

Following her performance, the powerhouse singer took to Instagram to share a photo of herself sipping a drink, with the caption, "Found my tea!"

Of course, the hot tea moment quickly became the first meme of 2018. And now Carey wants it to be immortalized the phrase with some hilarious merch. The "We Belong Together" singer released new merchandise on her website (three shirts and one mug)  in reference to her hot tea demand.
