Target Sued by Former Employees Who Say Multicultural Tips Were Offensive

We were left speechless after word got out about a Target memo that reminded its managers that not all Latinos eat tacos and burritos and dance to salsa.

According to NBC Latino, three former employees of a Target warehouse in Woodland, California are suing the giant over alleged racial racism and retaliation as a result of the document.

In the lawsuit filed, Robert Gonzalez, Bulmaro Fabian and Pedro Garcia-Ayala (who are all Latino) claim that “Caucasian Target managers regularly used racial slurs” while addressing them and other Latino employees. One such alleged slur included: “What the hell, I’m already sweating like a Mexican” and “Only a ‘wet-back’ can work this hard.”
