A woman plans on entering her daughter into a beauty pageant this fall. One small thing: the girl hasn’t been born yet. According to MSN, mom-to-be Jenny Oliver is due to give birth in July and has already signed up her kid in a “Bonnie Baby” pageant in September.
The 26-year-old, who already has a 10-year-old daughter, sounds eerily like the zealous mothers on Toddlers & Tiaras. Probably worse, with the following quote.
“With my dance skills and her sister's knowledge of pageants, there's no way she won't win," Oliver said.
Of course, we’re not sure how much her baby would be able to dance.
At two months old, she won’t be able to do much – maybe lift her head about 45 degrees or follow dangling objects with her eyes... so we think dancing is out of the question.
“I believe you should start them young,” Oliver added.
We don’t think the baby can be any younger, unless there’s some cutest womb pageant that hasn't been thought up yet. We think Oliver should wait until her baby can at least walk - to walk away from this.
This bizarre news just proves to us that you can never be too young or too old to be judged by your looks. Just ask 65-year old grandmother Irenilda de Oliveira of Brazil, who beat out 200 other abuelitas for the title of Most Beautiful Elderly Woman pageant, held in São Paulo.
How blessed are women in this wonderful society of ours!
