Up-To-The-Minute Details of Jenni Rivera's Funeral Service

Over six thousand fans are currently united at the Los Angeles' Gibson amphitheater to bid farewell and honor the one and only Jenni Rivera, who passed away in a tragic plane crash last week. At the public memorial, a red casket adorned with butterflies takes center stage as her family and friends praise La Diva de la Banda.

Among the tributes, Olga Tañón belted out an emotional rendition of "Mírame” as teary fans looked on. Jenni’s family members also sang beautiful musical numbers to pay respect to La Gran Señora’s life as well. Her eldest daughter Jacky and her nephew sang "Tú estás aquí" while her daugher Jenicka also honored her mother's spirit with vocals.

Shortly after Jenni’s sister Rosie took the stage and said, “Sister, I know that you are with God. We shall meet again.” After receiving a standing ovation, Jenni’s dad, Pedro Rivera, took the mic and said, “What an honor it has been to be called your father” as a photo of the two shined behind him.

Jenni’s mom Rosa addressed fans and said, “She used to call me Madre Santa. I need her voice. I need her voice to tell me ‘Madre Santa how I love you’ again, but she has left me her kids and grandchildren to tell me, ‘I love you abuela.’” She added, “I will see you again. Face to face with God. I will love you always.”

Ana Gabriel took the stage dressed in all black and sang a passion-filled version of the classic, "Paloma negra" before a tearful Chiquis addressed her mom directly and said, “I know you are here with me. I feel you more than ever. You will always be the queen of my heart. I miss you so much.”

Her eldest son Michael also addressed fans and said, "Today we celebrate her life as a singer, actress, businesswoman, but above all as a mother. She was the best mother anyone could ask for."

"This is the hardest thing I have had to go through in my entire life," said her youngest son Johnny. "I hope you are taking care of my dad and I hope he's taking care of you. Thank you for being the best mom to me in these 11 years."

Jenni's brother Pastor Pedro Rivera Jr. and Rosie took the stage to express their final thoughts as white rose petals rained on stage. Shortly after, every family member placed a single white rose on her casket as banda music played in the background.

We will continue posting up-to-the-minute updates as the ceremony develops.
