As a producer and composer, Julio Reyes Copello has worked with some of the most talented voices in the industry, including Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Paulina Rubio, Ricky Martin and Thalia. His job is to get singers to give everything they have in the studio. And apparently he’s very good at it. He was recently nominated for a Latin Grammy as Producer of the Year. We got a chance to talk to the Colombiano about his work and here’s what he had to say:

—Unfortunately for his Puerto Rican fans, Marc Anthony was forced to cancel his recent tour stop in San Juan due to a bout with laryngitis. Spokeswoman Blanca Lasalle said a doctor ordered him to rest his voice for 48 hours.

In the middle of all the hustle and bustle of Fashion's Night Out on Friday, Marc Anthony was bringing down the house at Madison Square Garden. After traveling all around South America to promote his Latin Grammy-nominated album Iconos, the Nuyorican was back on his home turf to kick off his U.S. tour.

After guest starring on TNT’s hospital drama Hawthorne last week (and again tomorrow night at 9 p.m. EST), Marc Anthony says he wants to act a lot more in the future. But fear not—that doesn’t mean he’s going to neglect his music. In fact, Anthony is currently touring Latin America in support of his latest album, Iconos—an all-ballad Spanish album where he covers eight titles from his favorite balladeers—and will soon start the U.S. leg of his tour.
